Tsunami Awareness

Hazard Mitigation Plan

The draft 2016 Local Multi-jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan is available for review and comment. This plan identifies the primary natural hazards of risk and presents measures to increase resiliency throughout the City of Carpinteria. The Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies local risks as well as actions that can be taken to minimize damage from natural disasters. This plan also creates a framework for risk-based decision-making to reduce damages to lives, property and the economy from future disasters.
